Poverty On average, 57% of the population lives below the poverty line. In some parts of the Gaza strip, around 65% of the people are poor.

PA is now unable to pay salaries, leading to the deterioration of services. Four hundred doctors in Gaza have lost their jobs because there is no money to pay them.
