Tunisian President welcomes Islamic Relief CEO

Dr Mohammed Ashmawey, Islamic Relief’s Chief Executive Officer, was welcomed last week by His Excellency Moncef Marzouki, President of Tunisia the Presidential Palace, Tunis.
Dr Ashmawey was visiting Islamic Relief Tunisia for the first time since becoming CEO earlier this year. He met with a number of Tunisian ministers, including Sonia Taboubi, Minster for Women and Family Affairs, Jamal Eddine Gharbi, Minister for Regional Development and Planning, and Riadh Bettayeb, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation.
Islamic Relief manages Choucha camp, near the Libyan border, where we carryout health and sanitation activities, as well as distributions of food, hygiene kits and water. We have also been working in Ras Ajdir, Dehibat, Tataouine, providing food, water and hygiene kits.
The Islamic Relief Worldwide delegation also visited the Foreign Ministry and the Investment and International Cooperation Ministry.
